Can I change my seat after booking?

SeatBadlo helps you look for a passenger who would like to exchange seats on the same train and journey date. It is a voluntary arrangement, not a new reservation or a guaranteed railway seat change.

1. Download the official app

Install SeatBadlo from Google Play and follow the registration steps. Do not give your OTP to another passenger or anyone claiming to arrange a paid swap.

2. Add your train and seat details

Enter your PNR in the app and check your journey date, train, coach, and assigned seat. Follow the availability and timing shown in the app; chart preparation times can vary.

3. Choose your preferred berth

Select the available berth preferences that suit you, such as a lower berth. Being flexible may give you more options, but no particular seat is guaranteed.

4. Look for a willing passenger

Review the available matches and send a request. A match requires another passenger whose preferences fit your seat. If nobody is available, you may need to keep your existing seat.

5. Confirm together

Both passengers should agree on the exact seats and journey segment before moving. Keep your original valid ticket and consult the TTE or railway staff if there are restrictions or any uncertainty.

Can I request a lower berth for a senior citizen?

You can look for a voluntary lower-berth exchange in the app. SeatBadlo cannot allocate railway quotas or promise a lower berth. For official assistance, speak with railway staff.

Is swapping free?

SeatBadlo offers seat swapping free of charge. Never pay a stranger for a promised berth, and never use a swap to travel without a valid ticket.
